Mike and Linda,
I have been meaning to write you this letter for a few weeks now. I wanted to say thank you for letting me be a part of this year's Rain Barrel Program. First of all what a wonderful project to engage local artists in! This program lets an artist get their work out in the public's eye. It gives their creativity wings and most of all lets them "give back" to the community that does so much for them. It was such an honor for me to be selected as one of the artists. It is a tough profession. When you paint you put so much of your time, your emotions, and truly a "part of you" into your work. When you present it to the public, you hope and pray that others will see what you saw.
Both of you and the committee should be commended for your work at bringing the arts into the community. Emmaus is such an awesome little town and I have been blessed to have worked here for over 19 years. You do so many things to enhance our community through the arts. It is people like you two that bring Emmaus to life. It's the little extras you do that make Emmaus a "hometown" not just a place on the map.
Emmaus is lucky to have you, and I am honored to have met you. You truly make a difference. Thank you for all you do. I know I am not a local resident, as I live in Macungie but I am only an email away if you need help on any events. At this time I am silk screening tee shirts for Shelly Steiner for the Emmaus Community Days workers.
Thank you for all you do for so many,
Angela D. Faidley
