Emmaus 2009 Community Anniversary -- Celebrate With Us! In 2009, the Borough of Emmaus will mark two very special events in the history of our town. It will be both the two-hundred fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Emmaus community by the Moravians, and the one-hundred fiftieth anniversary of the incorporation of the town itself when the closed religious community opened up to the outer world.

We're very proud of Emmaus and the accomplishments of its people, as shown recently in Money Magazine's designation of Emmaus as the 87th best small town to live in America. The cultural heritage and spirit of our community is alive in the arts we encourage and share.

Plans are underway for a memorable event to be sponsored by the Emmaus Arts Commission in 2009. Please join us as we commemorate and celebrate this very special year.
