We are accepting applications for our ongoing Emmaus Paint-A-Hydrant Program!
Over 70 hydrants have been painted by local artists and community members in the Emmaus Borough as of Summer 2022! We are always seeking applications for this ongoing program from interested community artists. We want to see what your interpretation of what a hydrant can be! Perhaps your design would embellish a hydrant with a sense of place and local pride or maybe it incorporates the history of our area. Perhaps it reflects the natural world, or makes the hydrant stand out via abstract colors and shapes, it can even simply be bright and colorful!
All ages and skill levels are welcome to submit designs!

We encourage those who are currently unable to commit fully to the role of commissioner to seek us out as a volunteer opportunity in Emmaus. We can always use volunteers!

The Emmaus Arts Commission is the non-profit, art sector of the Borough of Emmaus. We are making art to make an impact. EAC’s mission and primary role is to foster the arts and culture in and around Emmaus, PA. The EAC offers events, programs, and scholarships as well as advocates for a variety of art forms in our area. Currently, focused on beautification programs throughout Emmaus, the EAC is painting hydrants, planning murals, and encouraging our community to approach art in all aspects of life.
We are focused on raising awareness and visibility of the arts in and around the greater Emmaus Borough area. We encourage you to participate in a variety of art engagement experiences for all ages and stages including music, visual arts, performing arts, film/video, and specialty community beautification projects.
